Large Fossil Predatory Fish (Vinctifer comptoni) - Brazil - Cretaceous
Vinctifer comptoni was a species of predatory fish. This fossil dates to the Cretaceous Period (Albian) and comes from the Santana Formation, Araripe plateau, Ceara, Brazil.
You will receive both the positive and negative sides as pictured, the negative side was broken in one place during extraction and has been repaired as can be seen in the photos. There are no other repairs or restoration, the fish is 100% natural.
Each side is approximately 43 cm x 9 cm. The nodule is approximately 5 cm thick.
No restoration other than the one repair mentioned above.
