Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid (Sea Lily) from Erfoud, Morocco. Excellent detail to this fossil, it has been treated with a preservative to ensure that the fossil remains in top condition.

Crinoids, such as this example, are commonly known as Sea Lilies, are marine animals in the phylum Echinodermata showing their close relations to Sea Urchins, Starfish, Brittlestars and Sea Cucumbers.

Dates to the Silurian period.
