Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid (Sea Lily) from Erfoud, Morocco. Large example containing multiple specimens. Excellent quality & detail to this fossil, as always with fossils from this location there are several repairs to the matrix where it has broken during extraction.

Crinoids, such as this example, are commonly known as Sea Lilies, are marine animals in the phylum Echinodermata showing their close relations to Sea Urchins, Starfish, Brittlestars and Sea Cucumbers.

Dates to the Silurian period.
