Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid (Sea Lily) from Erfoud, Morocco. Good quality, it has been treated (glued) for stability and has one repair through the middle.

Crinoids, such as this example, are commonly known as Sea Lilies, are marine animals in the phylum Echinodermata showing their close relations to Sea Urchins, Starfish, Brittlestars and Sea Cucumbers.

Dates to the Silurian period.
