Rare fossil bird feather & fish (Prolebias goretti) from Saint-Hippolyte-de-Caton, Southern France. Great preservation / detail especially under magnification.

Oligocene epoch (Rupelian stage) - 28.1 - 33.9 million years

The feather is approximately 1.4 cm in width, the fish is approximately 4.5 cm in length.
