    Perleidus was a species of ray finned fish.


    This fossil was found in Ambilobe, Madagascar and dates to the Early Triassic period (Olenekian) - In the region of 245 million years old. The larger half is approximately 13 cm long by 7.8 cm wide.


    The nodule has been split in half to reveal the fish inside, please note that this extraction process has caused cracks as seen in each half of the nodule, there is no other restoration to the fossil.
