    Nice sized ammonite (Cleoniceras sp.) showing very good iridescence. A layer of clear varnish has been applied in order to show off the natural iridescence of this ammonite.

    The ammonite originates from Madagascar and dates to the Albian Stage of the Cretaceous Period (Circa 100-115 million years old).
