Asaphus punctatus (Lessnikova, 1949). This trilobite was found in the Asery Level, Vilpovitsy quarry, St. Petersburg region, Russia. 

Large size!

Dates to the Middle Ordovician Period. 

Size: Trilobite - 8.8 cm x 5.1 cm. Eyes - 1.2 cm
Matrix: 13.0 cm x 9.0 cm x 2.0 cm
  
The hard calcite exoskeleton shows up nicely against the lighter limestone matrix. 

Please note that these Russian trilobites always have a small amount of restoration, this trilobite has approximately 4-5% restoration.
