Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid (Sea Lily) from Bou Tchrafin (near Erfoud), Morocco. Excellent detail to this fossil, it has been repaired a couple of times, which is the norm for fossils from this location. 

Crinoids, such as this example, are commonly known as Sea Lilies, are marine animals in the phylum Echinodermata showing their close relations to Sea Urchins, Starfish, Brittlestars and Sea Cucumbers.

Dates to the Silurian period.

Measurements: 30 cm x 31 cm x 2.5 cm
