A rare Edestus "Scissor shark" jaw and tooth fossil found in Herrin, Illinois, USA. This fossil is between 313-307 million years old (Carboniferous). The jaw measures 6cm in length 1.5cm in width. The fossil itself has had no repairs or restoration however the matrix is very crumbling and has had one repair to keep the fossil stable.
