Edestus “Scissor Shark” Partial Jaw


A partial Scissor shark (Edestus Heinrichi) jaw and tooth from the Carboniferous (approx. 315-310 million years old), collected from the Carbondale Formation, Herrin, Illinois, USA. This specimen features part of the jaw with one worn down tooth.

  2. Condition: has had no repairs and no restoration. The matrix is very crumbly and has been glued to stabilise the specimen
