Neovenator Metatarsals


Neovenator metatarsals (foot bone) from the Early Cretaceous (approx. 130-125 million years old), collected from the Wessex formation, Isle of Wight, UK. This specimen features narrow lightweight bones along with a hollow bone on the metatarsal on the right side (see picture seven). The bone on the right has had some filler added to the hollow area to stabilise the specimen.

Details:

  1. Size: 14.5cm in length, 8.5cm in width and 4cm in height
  2. Condition: has had one repair and glued in a few places to stabilise the fossil but has had no restoration
  3. Origin: Isle of Wight, UK
  4. Ideal for experienced collectors, Museums, Educational Institutions
