A vertebra from a giant ground sloth from the Pleistocene (approx. 130,000-11,000 years old), collected from the Brackish waters in a river in North Florida, USA. This specimen features most of the vertebra body and part of the pedicle on one side. Due to the size this vertebra likely comes from a Megalonyx however since it’s not complete it’s hard to confirm the exact species and genus.
