Aristoharpes Trilobite

A superior prepped Aristoharpes trilobite from the Middle Devonian (approx. 400 million years old), collected from the El Otfal Formation, Jbel Issoumour, Morocco. This specimen features a distinctive “shovel like” brim which is believed to have help distribute the weight of the animal to prevent it sinking in the soft sediment of the ocean floor as well as acting a shovel to move small debris while it manoeuvred around.
